The classes

There are two classes a day with a maximum of seven students, held in a dedicated yoga studio, where you will get lots of individual attention. There will be an introductory session followed by a restorative class from 5.00 to 6.30 pm on arrival day followed by dinner at 7.00 pm, two days with a class from 9.30 to 11 am followed by brunch and a class from 5.00 to 6.30pm followed by dinner at 7.00pm. On leaving day there will be a class from 9.00 to 10.30 am followed by brunch.

The morning classes will be fairly energetic, based around standing poses and core stability exercises, while the evening class will be based around restorative poses including sitting poses, shoulder stand, head stand (for students who already do it) and sometimes pranayama. There will be a mix of active and passive yoga and I use props extensively to help students at all levels of ability to get the correct action and feel the full benefit of the postures.

These are mixed ability classes that will suit both relative beginners and more experienced students of all ages, and should leave you feeling pleasantly stretched and relaxed.  They will not include any advanced postures.

Mats and props are provided, so there is no need to bring your yoga equipment on the plane or train.
